UBS Warburg poaches China star from Goldman

Goldman Sachs greater China economist joins UBSW as its chief economist.

In the midst of some of the poorest markets anyone can remember, Asia's top-rated research house, UBS Warburg has poached one of Goldman Sachs most highly regarded analysts.

UBSW has hired Jonathan Anderson, Goldman's senior Greater China economist, who will be promoted to the role of chief economist.

Anderson is a highly regarded economist with a flair for writing and presenting. He came to prominence recently with a series of research notes entitled Five Myths About China, which sought to debunk some of the conventional wisdom being trotted out about China.
