UBS's market leading telco franchise has received an added boost with the appointment of Jinjin Wang as China telecoms analyst. Based in Hong Kong, she will report to Bill Sohn, head of Asian telecoms research at the Swiss bank.
She joins from Goldman Sachs where she was the lead analyst for the China telecoms sector and prior to this also had the same coverage responsibility at China International Capital Corporation CICC. While at CICC from March 2001 to February 2004, Wang advised on the acquisition of provincial assets, including those for China Mobile.
