What have been some of the key trends in Asian MA during the course of 2006

To my mind, 2006 was a continuation on the right path. I've been in the region for seven years and have seen MA activity developing in, what I believe, is the right way. Some notable trends include the emergence of domestic champions in-country and in-region consolidation has continued to create companies with critical mass and higher credibility. Secondly, cross-border outbound MA has been on the rise as opposed to the cross-border inbound which had prevailed for a number of years.
