Tay to fill loan vacuum at JPMorgan

Tong-Poh Tay returns to JPMorgan after an eight month sabbatical.

Tong-Poh Tay, the former co-head of global syndicated finance for Asia-Pacific at Chase Manhattan Bank, will re-emerge at JPMorgan next week as managing director and head of loan origination. Tay will fill the vacuum created by the departure of Matt Harris, who resurfaced at Barclays Capital as head of loans origination for Southeast Asia this week.

Based in Hong Kong, Tay will be responsible for all loan origination in the Asia-Pacific region, including Australia and Japan, and will report to Marc Jones, managing director and head of debt capital markets, Asia Pacific.
