In a coup for Standard Chartered's trade business, Kah-Chye Tan is to become the new global head of trade finance. Tan leaves his job as head of trade product at Deutsche Bank to take up the new post.
The move comes as Standard Chartered shuffles its trade deck. Ken Stratton who headed global trade sales is moving to New York to become head of the bank's transaction business in the US. Meanwhile, Andrew James who headed trade product has moved to South Korea to manage the commercial bank's integration with its new acquisition Korea First Bank.
