Suzuki motors into Paul Hastings' Japan chair

30-year veteran of the firm to replace the relocating John Steed.

International law firm Paul Hastings has announced that Kaoruhiko Suzuki will replace John Steed as the new chair of its Tokyo office, capping a stellar career with the firm that has lasted 30 years. He takes on the distinguished role after Steed returns to Los Angeles after nine years in Tokyo.

Over his 30 year stretch with Paul Hastings, Suzuki has split his time between both the US and Japan, where he has represented companies from both nations on a variety of corporate and transactional matters ranging from cross-border MA, strategic investments, joint ventures and restructurings.
