Standard Chartered hires structured equity head

Standard Chartered has hired Steven Phan as global head of its structured equity business, based in Hong Kong.

In the role, he will lead a team of structurers and traders who cover the whole suite of equity derivative products, from pricing to idea and general product generation.

Phan previously worked at HSBC in London, where he headed the investments, access and solutions group, and also led the structured fund products business, but left in May 2011 as the bank reorganised its equity derivatives business.
