Standard Poor's has promoted Ian Thompson up the regional ranks, anointing the company veteran as its new chief credit officer and head of research and training for Asia-Pacific.
In a newly created position, Thompson assumes responsibility for driving SP's integrity, rigour, market responsiveness, and transparency of its ratings analytics. This new role will also allow Thompson to lead research and analytic training throughout the Asia-Pacific region.
According to SP, Thompson's elevation to this post will help it continue to meet goals of developing criteria and ratings systems that respond to local market and customer needs.
