Sidley Austin Brown & Wood expands Korean practice

Law firm seeks to exploit increased opportunities in Korean securitization and capital markets.

International law firm Sidley Austin Brown  Wood has announced the addition of five lawyers to its Korea practice group. All five lawyers have represented US, Asian and Korean corporations and financial institutions in connection with a range of transactional activities governed under English, Hong Kong and US law.

Jae Chul JC Lee, who leaves Simmons and Simmons and Sewon Kang, formerly of Seoul-based firm Kim, Choi Lim, both practice in structured finance, securitization and capital markets and join the firm's Hong Kong office. A third Hong Kong-based lawyer will join the firm later in 2001.
