SFC bans Kelvin Wu for 30 months

The former managing director at China Everbright Capital is banned for failing to ensure the accuracy of Tungda's application to transfer to Hong Kong's Main Board.
Hong Kong's Securities and Futures Commission SFC has banned Kelvin Wu, formerly a managing director at China Everbright Capital, from re-entering the industry for two-and-a-half years, until June 2011. The suspension relates to the mismanagement of an application by Tungda Innovative Lighting Holdings to transfer to Hong Kong stock exchange's Main Board from the Growth Enterprise Market in 2004.

The SFC investigation says that Wu, in his capacity as the person in charge of corporate finance at China Everbright at the time, failed to exercise due skill, care and diligence in supervising another responsible officer in the handling of the transfer application. As a result, Tungda's application contained several major inaccuracies.
