Sandeep Pahwa starts at BarCap in Singapore

Sandeep Pahwa, who left Deutsche Bank in September, starts at Barclays Capital as head of Southeast Asia investment banking based in Singapore.

Sandeep Pahwa has joined Barclays Capital BarCap as head of Southeast Asia investment banking.

BarCap, the investment banking division of British bank Barclays, poached Pahwa in September from Deutsche Bank in Singapore, where he was vice-chairman and head of global banking for Southeast Asia. At Deutsche, Pahwa managed more than 30 senior client relationships in the region.

Deutsche hired Pahwa in 2007 as managing director and head of global banking for Southeast Asia. Pahwa was at the time with HSBC in London where he was a managing director and global head of media and entertainment investment banking and corporate banking.
