The Royal Bank of Scotland has appointed Ramit Bhasin to head its markets business in India. Bhasin takes over as the head of markets for ABN AMRO India, a subsidiary of RBS, replacing Arun Khurana who has been transferred to Singapore to head solution sales and corporate risk solutions regionally.
Bhasin will be responsible for the sales and trading platform across money markets, rates, foreign exchange, credit and commodities. He will report locally to Madan Menon, who is the country head of global banking and markets for ABN AMRO India, and regionally to Pierre Ferland, who heads markets for Asia-Pacific at RBS.
