Private equity eyes opportunities in Korea

JPMorgan Partners Asia Managing Director Eugene Suh talks about recent investments and the effect of corporate restructuring on private equity deals.

JPMorgan Partners Asia manages the $1.1 billion Asia Opportunity Fund, of which it has committed $520 million in direct equity investment since the fund's inception in 1999. Its most recent investment was in Korea where it acquired a 27.4% stake, and joint management control, of  Ceratech, a designer and manufacturer of high-end passive electronic components.
