Peregrine takes final flight

As the former Hong Kong investment bank becomes fully integrated into BNP Paribas, the well-known name is erased from the logo.
More than eight years after it took over the collapsed Hong Kong investment bank, BNP Paribas has decided to drop the Peregrine name from its Hong Kong-based business unit, the French banking group confirmed yesterday.

The name change comes as the Hong Kong-based equity brokerage and corporate finance businesses, which until now have operated as a separate unit under the name of BNP Paribas Peregrine, are finally being interated into the BNP Paribas platform.
