Parks steps away from day-to-day duties at JPMorgan but stays as chairman

Abdelnour transfers from Europe to take over daily responsibilities; named CEO for Asia Pacific.
Ralph Parks, JPMorganÆs top man in Asia, will give up his day-to-day management role to focus all his resources on clients and to develop strategic opportunities for the US firm in the region, including potential joint ventures.

Parks will retain his position as chairman for Asia Pacific, a job he has held for five years and which aside from overseeing the investment banking business have also included the management of the private banking and asset management divisions. He is also a member of the firm's Executive Committee.
