OCBC appoints new head of business banking

Samuel Tsien moves across from China Construction Bank after a 30-year career at the institution.
Singapore-based OCBC Bank has appointed Samuel Tsien as global head of business banking, replacing Tan Ngiap Joo who will step down later this month. Tan will stay on as a senior adviser of business banking until he retires at the end of this year.

Tsien was most recently president and chief executive officer of China Construction Bank Asia, which was formerly known as Bank of America Asia.

Tsien will be in charge of all the bankÆs corporate customer relationships in Singapore, Malaysia and other overseas locations. He will also be a senior executive vice president at the bank, reporting to David Conner, OCBCÆs chief executive officer.
