Norton Rose hires new partner in Hong Kong

The appointment brings the number of partners in Norton Rose''s Asian practice to 17, out of which Hong Kong accounts for seven.

Law firm Norton Rose is growing by leaps and bounds - at least in Hong Kong. Since re-opening its office in Hong Kong in April this year, the firm has hired one more partner and two assistants and expects to make more hires in the near future. The latest high-profile appointment is Freeman Chan, who was appointed as partner in the corporate finance department.

Prior to joining Norton Rose, Chan was a partner in Koo Partners, which recently combined with US firm Paul, Hastings, Janofsky Walker. Chan was the head of the corporate finance team at Koo Partners.
