Northern Trust Global Investments boosts Japan team

Firm brings in two big guns to asset management arm.

Northern Trust Global Investments has bolstered its Japanese team with two appointments in its Tokyo offices. The asset management arm of Northern Trust Corporation will welcome Shoji Yamada as executive advisor and Osamu Hattori as head of investment management as the firm looks to build out its business in Japan.

New executive advisor Yamada brings 40 years of experience in the banking and pensions industry in Japan to Northern Trust, and will work closely with the firmÆs senior management on business development opportunities.
