Nomura hires Lam for convertible bonds role

Firm names new head of Asia convertible bonds in Hong Kong.
Nomura has boosted its regional convertible bonds business, announcing the recruitment of Kwong Lam to the firm. Lam joins Nomura as head of Asia convertible bonds, replacing Raymond So, who left the Japanese bank last month.

Upon joining the firm, Lam will report to Tomoyuki Teraguchi, head of Asia equity division and also Paul Dolan, head of convertible bonds, who is based in London.

For Nomura, Lam will be charged with building its regional convertible bonds business and expanding the regional team. According to Nomura, it will hire roughly 10 more in its Asian equity division, which includes the convertible bonds business.
