Citi has chosen Ng Yong Yin to head its country research for Malaysia, based in Kuala Lumpur. He replaces Choong Wai Kee, who moved to Nomura at the end of June.
In his new role, Ng will report to Brent Robinson, head of Citi's investment research and analysis team in Asia-Pacific, who is another recent appointee, having replaced Adrian Faure earlier this year.
Ng, a Malaysian national, is viewed as a rising star within Citi, according to a spokesperson. He has been with the US bank for only a year, having joined from AmResearch, a division of AmInvestment Bank, where he spent more than eight years as a senior analyst, covering sectors spanning...
