International law firm Simmons Simmons has hired Wui Seung Chong. Chong will be based in the firm's Hong Kong office and will work as a consultant in the corporate group.
Chong joins Simmons from Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he was a senior associate, working mainly on MA deals in China and with financial institution around the region. He also spent a number of years in the firm's Beijing office handling foreign direct investments into the Middle Kingdom. Deals he has worked on include Tokio Marine and Fire Insurance and Millea Asia's 24.9% strategic investment in Sino Life Insurance, a mainland PRC insurance company
