Barclays Capital said yesterday that it has appointed Jacqueline Tan to a newly created position as head of the risk solutions group for Southeast Asia, based in Singapore. She started work on December 2.
Tan was poached from ABN AMRO where she has held several positions since 1996, most recently as head of corporate risk solution sales for Asia, operating out of the Lion City. She also had an earlier spell at J.P. Morgan.
In her new role, Tan is responsible for overseeing the delivery of risk solutions -- mainly hedging activities -- across all asset classes, such as foreign exchange, commodities and interest rates, to Barclay's investment banking clients in Southeast Asia.
