Merrill picks Dewberry

US investment bank gains a new head of Asia ex-Japan transportation research.

Merrill Lynch has appointed Paul Dewberry to bolster its transportation research capabilities. He comes to Merrill as its new director and head of Asia ex-Japan head of transportation research and will report to Chris Francis, head of South Asian equity research.

Dewberry will head the investment bank's regional transportation team, while also providing coverage for airlines sector. He shifts to Merrill from the Hong Kong offices of Macquarie Securities, where he was head of Asian airlines research.
