Mahoney to head Asia-Pacific FIG at Goldman

Goldman’s John Mahoney is relocating to Hong Kong to become the head of the investment bank’s financial institutions advisory group across Asia Pacific excluding Japan.

Goldman Sachs’ John Mahoney is set to relocate to Hong Kong to lead the financial institutions group FIG for Asia Pacific excluding Japan, replacing Peter Enns in the role, according to an internal memo seen by FinanceAsia.

In addition, Craig Murray and Bernard Teo will become co-chief operating officers of FIG in the region. Murray and Teo will focus on the day-to-day management of the team as well as on transaction execution.

Mahoney transferred to mergers acquisitions in 1990 and moved to FIG in 1995. He was named managing director in 1997 and a partner in 2000.

These moves follow Enns’ appointment...
