Deutsche Bank has announced that Jun Ma will take on an expanded role within the group, reflecting its growing commitment to its China business. Effective immediately, Ma becomes chief economist, Greater China and head of China and Hong Kong macro strategy, and will continue to be based in Hong Kong.
Ma has worked for Deutsche Bank since 2000 and, prior to this appointment, was the bank's high profile chief economist for Greater China. In the expanded position, Ma will dually report to Michael Spencer, chief economist and head of macro research and strategy, Asia-Pacific and to Dave Murray, head of company research, global emerging markets.
