The equity capital markets keep a steady pace while the debt capital markets come to a standstill.

The equity capital markets ploughed along this week with $757 million raised from seven issues. The usual suspects still dominate the league table rankings û Goldman Sachs sits well ahead in first place with $8.4 billion with UBS and Citigroup taking out the top three.

The $245 million convertible for MalaysiaÆs Berjaya Land was the largest deal of the week and led by AmMerchant Bank and Merrill Lynch. The US investment house sits in eighth place in the rankings with almost $3.0 billion from 24 deals.
