Standard Chartered has lost one of its regional big guns to the governmental sphere, with the departure of its regional chief economist for Northeast Asia. KC Kwok is to return to the Hong Kong SAR government as an economist after working at Standard Chartered since 1991.
Kwok will provide economic advice and insight to the Territory's government as well as overseeing the business facilitation division, a department dedicated to streamlining government regulations and facilitating business.
