KBC Securities activates TSE seat

Along with key hires, the Tokyo seat boosts the profile of this equities specialist.
KBC Securities Japan, a specialist in convertibles, equities derivatives and structured products, has made operational its seat on the Tokyo Stock Exchange as well as made several important hires, says Marco Roccia, managing director. Among other things the TSE seat will enable KBC to enter the cash equities business as well as link up its proprietary trading system to the exchange's, which translates into faster execution. Roccia believes since activating this seat for clients on 3 September, KBC already accounts for nearly 1% of the market's daily average turnover.

This month the firm has also brought on board Stephen Good as director and head of equity sales. Good has 15 years experience in Japan...
