JPMorgan adds sales strength in India

JPMorgan strengthens its equity sales and sales trading team in India with a slew of lateral hires.

JPMorgan significantly upsized its equity sales and sales trading team on the ground in India with six lateral hires. The move is part of JPMorganÆs expansion of its Indian operations and specifically part of a plan to accelerate the growth of the US bankÆs equities business in the country.

JPMorgan has hired Chintan Maniar from ICICI Bank, Hardik Doshi from Lehman Brothers, Sonia Gandhi from Metanoia Consulting, Karina Goswami from Enam, Jitendra Raval from Merrill Lynch and Vinita Muriani from Hutchison Whampoa's telecoms group. All the new hires will be based in Mumbai.
