Korea''s minister of planning and budget and its minister of construction and transportation headline the October event.

Asia desperately needs infrastructure but lacks effective means of financing its development. As governments increasingly run larger budget deficits there is less public money to be spent on its development. Therefore innovative schemes are needed.

FinanceAsia in association with Macquarie, a leader in infrastructure advisory, management and investment, and regional law firm Allens Arthur Robinson will co-host the North Asian infrastructure forum finding new models for financing Asia's infrastructure needs at the Westin Chosun Hotel in Seoul on Wednesday, 13 October 2004.
