Muhammad Aurangzeb has joined J.P. Morgan as chief executive officer of its global corporate bank GCB in Asia-Pacific, the bank announced yesterday. He is based in Singapore and replaces Mike Brown who has moved to a senior position in the bank’s London office.
Aurangzeb was hired from the Royal Bank of Scotland RBS where he was most recently the country executive for Singapore and head of global banking and markets for Southeast Asia and Pakistan. In this role, Aurangzeb was responsible for the overall operations of RBS’s primary debt and equity capital markets, structured finance, and sales and trading throughout the region.
