The agreement, which will reduce tariffs across billions of dollars of goods, comes after three years of talks.

India and the UK have signed a free trade agreement which will be worrth billions of dollars for both countries and will reduce tariffs across a range of products.

“In a historic milestone, India and the UK have successfully concluded an ambitious and mutually beneficial free trade agreement,” Indian prime minister Narendra Modi posted on X, on Tuesday May 6. The trade deal may still not start for another year as a formal signing process needs to take place first.
