HSBC poaches Goldman Sachs veteran for North Asia Global Banking head

Hong Kong-based Christina Ma replaces Dai Kitamura, who will leave the bank in November after extended leave.

HSBC bank has appointed Christina Ma as its new head of Global Banking for North Asia, according to a memo seen by FinanceAsia and confirmed by a spokesperson at the bank. She will join in the first quarter of 2023.

Ma was most recently head of Greater China equities for Goldman Sachs, where she spent 21 years. She first joined as a managing director and was promoted to partner in 2020.
