Ex-JPMorgan managing director Matt Harris, will join Barclays Capital on Monday, where he will be responsible for all Southeast Asian origination.
Harris's recent departure from JPMorgan followed that of his erstwhile boss, Paul Bartlett, who was co-head of credit origination for JPMorgan before he decided to leave in March this year.
Harris's hire marks a coup for Barclays, who will benefit from his experience in the region. In a related move, Barclays' director, David Matthews will be heading to the UK at the end of June and into a bigger role, as head of UK loan origination.
