Granite Asia unveils $250m Apac private credit strategy

The strategy, known as the Libra Hybrid Capital Fund, is backed by Asian sovereign wealth funds, and is aiming to help firms develop their technology and automation capabilities.

Amid continued growth in the region, venture capital firm Granite Asia has raised $250 million in anchor commitments for a private credit strategy, which is known as Libra Hybrid Capital Fund.

The capital comes from sovereign wealth funds in Asia, as well as capital from Granite Asia’s general partners and its 25-year network of founders and entrepreneurs.

The fund is focusing on secured loans for businesses across Asia Pacific Apac with a defensive risk profile, offering stable cash yields, and is looking to enhance returns through Singapore-headquartered Granite Asia’s technology and business help, according to a media release.
