Singapore-based Fairfield Straits Lion Asset Management has added a longshort Asian equities fund to its platform. The Fairfield Areca Asian Equity Fund is sub-advised by Millennia Investment Management, also based in Singapore.
Millennia was founded in May, 2004 by investment bankers with private equity experience, and claims a 31% return from inception to September 2005. Its managing director is Seah Kiat-Seng, who began the firm after serving as MD and investment committee member of Springboard-Harper Investment, a local venture-capital firm.
