Deutsche hires fund manager in India

Vinay Kulkarni replaces BP Singh, who departed for Atlantis.

Deutsche Asset Management has hired Vinay Kulkarni as senior fund manager in Bombay, where he will be responsible for managing DeAM's expanding suite of Indian equity funds, including the Deutsche Alpha Equity Fund and the Deutsche Investment Opportunity Fund.

He replaces BP Singh, who recently departed the firm to join Atlantis Investment Management in Mumbai.

Kulkarni has 13 years of experience in equity funds management, and joins from UTI Mutual Fund, where he had managed various equity portfolios with a total size in excess of Rs3,500 crore Rs35 billion, $804 million.
