Deutsche hires Faizan Mitha to head Pakistan operations

Faizan Mitha joins Deutsche Bank as chief country officer for Pakistan, replacing Shazad Dada who left for Barclays last year.

Deutsche Bank has appointed Faizan Mitha as chief country officer for Pakistan, succeeding Shazad Dada.

Mitha, who will be based in Karachi, will be responsible for all of Deutsche’s businesses in Pakistan. He joins as a managing director and will report directly to Robert Rankin, the bank's chief executive officer for Asia-Pacific ex-Japan.

Deutsche has hired Mitha from Habib Bank in Pakistan where he was most recently group executive and global treasurer. During his 25 years in the financial services industry, Mitha has held positions at international financial institutions in South Asia, the Middle East and Europe.
