Deutsche appoints new Indonesian country officer

Suresh Narang will assume the post of chief country officer in addition to his role as head of the bank''s global markets team.

Deutsche Bank has announced the appointment of Suresh Narang as chief country officer for Indonesia. The post has been vacant since early January following the sad passing of Heinz Poehlsen.

Narang, who takes on the new position in conjunction with his present role as head of global markets for Indonesia, will report to Martin Loat, chief executive officer of Deutsche's corporate and investment banking division and Sikander Kanji, head of global markets Asia.

Narang has been with the bank since 1987 when he worked in the treasury department in Mumbai, India. He joined the Indonesian treasury team in 1994 before being appointed head of global markets a year later.
