Activity in both ECM and DCM markets continues to slow to a crawl as the summer lull proceeds.

Asia ex Japan issuers have raised a total of $400m through 10 deals this week, compared to the $14.8bn via 28 deals in the previous week.

The largest deal of the week was a follow-on by Yibin Tianyuan Group for $101m via China Hongxin Securities.

Asia ex Japan chemicals ECM volume reached its second highest level on record with $6.4bn via 57 deals in 2018 YTD versus the record high of $6.5bn in 2016 YTD via 51 deals.
