DB Australia hires new head of fixed income and currencies sales

Laura Fitzsimmons will join from JP Morgan, starting in Sydney in August, according to an internal memo seen by FA.

Deutsche Bank DB Australia has hired Laura Fitzsimmons as the bank’s new head of fixed income and currencies FIC macro sales. Fitzsimmons will start from August in Sydney.

A DB spokesperson confirmed to FinanceAsia that the role is newly created. Matthew Yencken, head of institutional client group at DB Australia, said, in an internal memo seen by FA, that the appointment comes at an “ideal time” with the team looking to intensify its institutional clients' coverage in the Australian market.
