Crédit Agricole poaches ECM veteran from CIMB

French bank hires Chris Marschall from CIMB to lead its equity capital markets business in Asia Pacific.

Former CIMB banker Chris Marschall has joined Crédit Agricole as head of Asia-Pacific equity capital markets for its corporate and investment banking franchise, the French bank said in a memo on Wednesday seen by FinanceAsia.

In his new role, Marschall will lead Crédit Agricole Corporate and Investment Bank’s CACIB cash equities and equity capital markets business, part of the bank’s global investment banking division.

He will be based in Hong Kong and will report to Aurelien Lasjunies and Keisuke Kasagi, co-heads of Asia Pacific global investment banking, as well as Olivier Jacquet, global head of ECM in Paris.
