Citi's shining Son in Vietnam

The bank makes an internal announcement about the appointment of Son Nam Nguyen as head of investment banking in Vietnam.
Citi announced internally yesterday that it has appointed Son Nam Nguyen as head of Vietnam investment banking.

Son will be transferring from Hong Kong and will take up his new role effective May 1. He will report to Mark Renton and Dan McNamara, co-heads of Asia-Pacific investment banking.

Son joined Salomon Brothers as an associate in 1995 in New York and has been based in Asia since 1999. He was formerly a vice-president in the financial institutions group, and most recently a managing director in Citi's Asia-Pacific technology investment banking in Hong Kong, where he has originated and executed a number of landmark transactions.
