Citi names new country officer for Hong Kong

After just two years with the bank, Shengman Zhang takes over from Sim S Lim who has moved to Japan.
Citi announced yesterday that Shengman Zhang has been appointed country officer for Hong Kong, the bank's most senior position in the territory. He will maintain his other responsibilities as president of Asia-Pacific and vice-chairman of global banking. Zhang succeeds Sim S Lim, who recently moved to Japan to become CEO of Nikko Citigroup.

The new role is very much a hands-on position, and Zhang will be meeting clients on a day-to-day basis. He will be in charge of CitiÆs three main business sectors the institutional clients group, global wealth management and consumer banking.
