Citi hires two for sector roles

Matthew Stubbs joins the industrials and financial sponsors group in Sydney, while Alex Molyneux moves to Hong Kong to run metals and mining.
CitiÆs investment bank has made two appointments in Sydney to strengthen its sector capabilities. Alex Molyneux joined the firm earlier this month and has been relocated to Hong Kong to head the metals and mining group for the region.

Molyneux, who speaks fluent Mandarin, was hired from AustraliaÆs top ranking investment bank UBS where he had held roles locally but also worked in the US.

The regional metals and mining portfolio had, up until recently, been run out of Sydney where Peter Bacchus held the post before defecting to Morgan Stanley in London last year.

Meanwhile, Matthew Stubbs has been hired to work with CitiÆs industrial and financial sponsor clients, based in Australia. He...
