Citi adds two roles in SME banking in Asia

Amit Dhawan, Rodney Lee move into two newly created roles to grow the US bank’s SME and digital banking services.

Citigroup on Tuesday it has named Amit Dhawan as business head of Asia Pacific small and medium sized enterprises SME for its commercial bank in Asia Pacific, and Rodney Lee as the Asia commercial bank digitization head, to strengthen the bank’s growing SME banking services in the region.

Dhawan, currently the head of commercial lending management for the commercial bank in Asia, will be tasked with creating growth strategies for Citi’s SME clients.

Support for SMEs and mid-market enterprises across treasury and trade solutions, hedging and capital markets is among the faster growing businesses for Citi in Asia, the company said in the statement.
