Standard Chartered has announced the appointment of Bob Johnson as the new head of its Asian project finance oil and gas team. In addition to this commodity-oriented specialization, he will take responsibility for project finance deals throughout the North Asian region.
He joins Standard Chartered from the project finance group of SG in Hong Kong.
In what is a newly created role for the bank's proprietary lending operation, Johnson will report to the head of project finance, Asia, Connor McCoole. Globally, Standard Chartered's project finance business is led by industry veteran Will Rathvon.
