For many banks, 2004 was their most profitable year ever in Asia and deal flow also reached new highs in both the equity and debt capital markets. We were, therefore, not surprised to welcome a record number of guests to our ninth annual Achievement Awards Dinner at the Conrad Hotel in Hong Kong last Friday, with just under 500 people flying in from around the region.
