Andrew Au takes over as Citi China CEO and chairman

Following Richard StanleyÆs departure for DBS earlier this year, Citi fills the high-profile position with a veteran of the bank.
Citibank China has announced that Andrew Au has been appointed as chairman and CEO to replace Richard Stanley as Citi China CEO and chairman. Au is a 24-year veteran of the bank and previously held the position of regional head of CitiÆs Global Commercial Bank, based in Hong Kong. Au will report to Robert Morse, Asia Pacific CEO for the institutional client group, as well as Stephen Bird, Asia Pacific CEO for the consumer group. Au will likely be stationed in Shanghai, as Stanley was previously.

Au will be responsible for the management of CitiÆs businesses and infrastructure in China, according to a press release put out by Citi on Tuesday.
