The Association for Investment Management Research AIMR today announced that it has hired Kha Loon Lee as vice president of global affairs Asia. Lee, to be based in Hong Kong, will be responsible for liaising with Asian regulatory and professional bodies and working with AIMR's 11 regional member societies to ensure that the needs of Chartered Financial Analyst CFA candidates and AIMR members are met.
The association says the move was driven by increased demand for its CFA certificate, as well as an increase in members. More than 3800 AIMR members work in Asia, an increase of 378% since 1995.
